I stopped at the Medical Tent, asking what BioFreeze does. ![]() Miles 11- 13, the dull throb turned to sharp pain. Never in my 92 training runs of the year had either of these parts gave me any pain or issue. I must have started adjusting my stride, because by Mile 12, it started on the left ankle, same exact spot. Without tripping or anything, a dull throb began with each step down on the top part of where my leg joints in with my foot. Mile 11 hit and it hit the front of my right ankle. A very special thank you to my mom and close friends who messaged. Over the course of the race, text messages popped that made my heart swell and gave me just the encouragement that I needed. I couldn't have done it without my faith and knowing that I had Him on my side.The comradery, the song before the start, the strangers lining the streets with inspiring & hilarious signs to keep you going. The fellow runners are still one of my favorite parts of races.In Lulumon's words on their yoga mat says: "You only have room in your mind for one thought at a time, make it a positive one." The mental training is just as critical as the physical.My goal this race was to finish without serious injury and I met my goal, kind of. ![]() Thanks to a devotional series called, 100 Days of Believing Bigger, episode, Finish What You Start, it got me to the starting line yesterday. I almost gave up and quit the race before it even started just two weeks prior out of fear, even after all my training. Anyone attempting to run a marathon should check with their doctor. 92 training runs in 2022 led me to the start line of the Walt Disney Marathon yesterday morning and I was still scared to death of competing.
